Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi I ve been going out into the sun a lot more often because I got a new job at a summer camp. A few days ago my face started feeling rough and my lips got really dryer the point where smiling would spilt my lip and it would bleed. I ve noticed that the bumps that showed up have spread to other areas that were clothes and most distinctly my buttocks was getting dry and today it spread to my vaginal area and the skin in on peeling there on my entire body.
I got that the excess sun exposure causing itchy rashes on your skin and dehydration causing dryness of the skin and lips. Humid condition is the common cause for quick dehydration. Plenty of oral liquids prevent dehydration. Sunscreen with SPF 30+ and water resistant help in preventing sweating and dehydration. If the sweat not properly released or clogging of the pores preventing the sweat will cause itchy rashes.
Blot the sweat from your skin. Do not wipe the sweat which may clog the sweat pores. Use soft soap for bathing and washing. If there is bacterial infection topical antibiotics are advised to cure the skin disease. Visit a dermatologist, if the problem persists and progressing.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Pradeepraj, General & Family Physician
