Suggest Treatment For Dry Throat With White Colored Tongue

Hi there, I have a dry throat cough and my tongue was looking rather white coated until earlier when I scrubbed it. The cough has been with me a couple days, not terrible, but it has been a long time since I have had the need to even ask a doctor about a respiratory issue. I have been gargling...tongue looks better. I also have some prescription flonase generic and a 6 pk of Cipro. No fever, no drainage, feel fine otherwise. What do you suggest I do if I make no progress by morning?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Dry throat and the white tongue can be due to dehydration, smoking, infection, not a proper cleaning, bad oral hygiene, oral thrush, antibiotic overuse and so on.
Correct the causes and you will be fine.
Get an opinion of an ENT Surgeon.
Go warm saline gargles, still better with diluted hydrogen peroxide,
Brushing at bed time.
small frequent intake of water, will all help .
