Suggest Treatment For Dull Lower Abdominal Pain

I have a mild dull pain on the ride side of my lower abdomin. I have had my appendix out years back so I know it isn't that. About a month ago I was woken from a dead sleep with sever pain on that same side, it only last two days and went away. I am afraid that the severe pain may come back again. What should I do?

I have gone through your Query & I really appreciate your concern about the problem you are facing.

As a physician I would like to point out you that there are several reasons for abdominal pain on right side like Renal colic, Crohn's Disease, Cystitis, Diverticulitis of Sigmoid colon etc.

So I suggest to you that you take OTC medications like Meftal-Spas, Buscopan whenever the pain returns again and if the pain does not go away even after the medicaltion then you should take appointment with a Gastroenterologist for thorought checkup with CT abdomen and pelvis to pin-point the exact diagnosis of your condition.
