Suggest Treatment For Dull Pain In Lower Left Buttock
Have had a dull pain in the lower left buttocks for the last couple of weeks. Affected sleep at night. Have been doing some hip exercises and the discomfort has subsided some but is still there. Work at the desk a lot and play golf on weekends. Taking turmeric and some naproxen. I have found that the more I walk when playing golf the better I feel, but I m concerned if it s hip related I may accelerate damage to whatever is wrong. thanks
Based on the description, it is likely related to the hip.
Some exercises may strengthen the muscles surrounding the hip and help with the pain, though other exercise may cause further problem. If the pain is better after you play golf, you should be able to continue but you should consider seeing your doctor for an assessment.
This would include physical examination and possibly an x ray of the hip.
I hope this helps
