Suggest Treatment For Dull Pain Near The Rib Cage

I have been having panic attachs, caused by constant pain, i believe from my phundoplication 15 years ago. Thr pain is in the lsft sidd of my rib cage, just to the left of my xiphoid process. The pain rzdistes through to my back, and it comes and goes. Recently i list over 50 pounds, and the paid has been getting excrusiating at time, making me feel like i am have a heat attack. Can a slipped phundollication, or any other phundoplication issues, cause ghis lroblem? The oain goes from dull, with ocassions sharp pain, when i move the wrong way sometimes. Thanks for any feedback, Steve

Hi,

If the rib cage pain is due to a minor injury, such as a pulled muscle or bruise, you can use a cold compress on the area to reduce swelling. If you're in significant pain, you can also take over-the-counter pain relievers such as acetaminophen (Tylenol).

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
