Indications: Dysfunctional uterine bleeding. Findings: Transabdominal and transvaginal images were obtained. Transabdominal imaging: The uterus measures 9.1 x 3.9 x 7.8 cm. The endometrial complex measures 4.7 mm. The left ovary measures 3.6 x 2.9 x 3.4 cm. The right ovary measures 3.6 x 4.7 x 2.8 cm and contains a 2.3 cm cyst. Transvaginal images were obtained to better see ovaries and endometrium. Transvaginal imaging: Within the endometrial complex of the uterine fundus there is a focal 1 cm density of increased echogenicity. The endometrial complex distinct from this density measures 9 mm. There are cervical nabothian cysts. The right ovary measures 3.7 x 2.2 x 3.7 cm and contains a 2.3 cm simple appearing cyst. No significant color flow is seen into this cyst.
