General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

The dysphagia relates to underlying viral infection involving upper respiratory tract with edema underlying from inflammation within. Following measures will help him for better recovery:
- Gargles with salted lukewarm water added epsom salt
- Avoiding dairy products, cold drinks, spices
- Lukewarm water with fresh home made juices without much sugar content
- Anti-pyretic medications as acetaminophen for pain relief

Do follow up with his pediatrician for further course of action as he can not take antibiotic due to allergy problem.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
