Suggest Treatment For Ear Ache And Wax Accumulation In Ears

I have been listening to music using headphones at medium volume for about 4 hrs/day last whole month and also use my phone for abt 1hr/day. i ve stopped listening to music since past 10 days but still feel very uncomfortable and pains a little in the ears and head when music plays or talk on the phone even on loudspeaker. There is lot of wax in my ears. Also if I thrust my fingers into my ears and press hard the pain eases.

Hi,

As per your query you are having earache and wax accumulation in ears which is mainly due to an ear infection. Need not to worry. If episodes of earache are getting frequent then you should consult ENT specialist once. The doctor may order a certain test like audiometry, low and high pitched ringing, otoscopic examination to rule out conditions like hearing loss, exposure to loud noises, earwax buildup, middle ear infection. The doctor may treat it according to the diagnosis, may prescribe medicine antibiotics. Put Gentamicin ear drops. Drainage of fluids can be done by ENT specialist and can prescribe you artificial ear tubes. Avoid pricking ear with any sharp object.
