Suggest Treatment For Ear Ache And White Spots On Tonsils
Hi I have had swollen tonsils, a low fever with chills, and ear pain for 4 days now. I went to a minute clinic and the nurse tested me for strep which came back negative, I do have white spots on one tonsil and it hurts really bad. She looked at my ears and said one looked red, but didn t give me anything for it. Now today the pain is worse and I am getting a headache and dizziness with it. Some of the ear pain subsides when I put pressure below my ear, like where the canal is. Should I go to a doctor if this continues? Or give it time. I m going on vacation in two days and don t want to travel while I m sick. :(
As per your clinical history it appears that you are having upper respiratory track infection.
If I were your treating doctor, I would advice you Antiseptic chlorhexidine Mouth Wash twice daily , Plenty of fluids , Steam Inhalation twice daily,Paracetamol & Vitamin c .
Certainly above treatment will give you much relief but if relief is not upto satisfaction level then consultation with your ENT doctor will become essential.
Regards.
