Suggest Treatment For Ear Drainage

I have excess ear drainage that wakes me up at night. At times it flows so much it runs out of my ear and down my neck. In the past if I take an antibiotic for something else. i.e.: sinusitis it clears up, but for only a few months and then it returns. I ve never had tubes put in and my last Doctor told me to change shampoos. This has been going on for 3 plus years and just tired of dealin with it.
