Suggest Treatment For Ear Infection With Nose Blocked With Phlegm
Hi I am a girl of 22 years. Height: 5.4. Weight: 58 Kg. I have migraine problem already. I get a lot of bulgum when ears get infected. Its like...When water gets into my ears, wax starts generating, then bulgum also starts generating, my nasal sometimes gets blocked. Also due to wax a stinky smell comes. Also consulted ENT specialist, he recommended following: Waxolve drops, Twinox (tablet) and Delean (tablet). Once this course is over, the problem stops, then after 2-3 months it starts again. How can i eliminate this problem permanently??
I would suggest you to do warm saline gargles, take steam twice a day and apply warm dry compresses to external ear. I would suggest you to consult an ENT specialist for proper diagnosis.
Doctor may examine by otoscopic means to check level of infection. Doctor may prescribe antibiotics amoxicillin at least for a week along with decongestants. Put Otogesic ear drops. Take steam twice a day to relieve congestion and drink glass of warm water with one spoon honey and ginger extract.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice. As per your query, you have ear infection with nose blocked with phlegm which seems to be due to sinusitis, wax build up, fluid accumulation, Eustachian tube dysfunction and post nasal drip.
