Suggest Treatment For Ear Pain, Blurred Vision, Body Pain And Nausea

I AM HAVING EAR PAIN, HEAD ACHE, NAUSEA, STOMACH PAIN, BLURRED VISION AND DIZZINESS FOR SEVERAL DAYS NOW. I DO NOT HAVE A FEVER. I AM ALSO HAVING SPORADIC BODY PAINS TYPICALLY UNDER MY L ARMPIT, BETWEEN MY SHOULDER BLADES, NECK, JOINTS(PRIMARILY ELBOWS). I HAVE A HISTORY OF EAR INFECTIONS AND IT FEELS SOMEWHAT LIKE THAT BUT THE BODY ACHES AND NAUSEA ARE QUITE A BIT MORE INTENSE. I HAVE AN APPOINTMENT WITH MY PROVIDER TOMORROW BUT I M CONCERNED BECAUSE I HAVE HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE AND WHEN I GET SICK IT TENDS TO ELEVATE TO A POINT THAT IT S HARD TO GET BACK DOWN. DO YOU FEEL THIS SOMETHING THAT WOULD BE OK TO BE SEEN IN THE ER OR IS IT BEST TO WAIT UNTIL MY APPOINTMENT TOMORROW?

Pathologist and Microbiologist 's  Response
Hello,

It is first important to get your ear examined for infection and get suitable antibiotics prescribed by an ENT specialist. Headache, dizziness and nausea can accompany ear infection. Stomach pain and generalized body aches in absence of fever are not likely to be due to infection. I suggest you to consult your physician for clinical assessment for abdominal pain and body aches for diagnosis and thus management.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shailja Puri, Pathologist and Microbiologist
