Suggest Treatment For Ear Pain , Sore Throat And A Hard Lump On The Gum

I have an ear ache, sore throat, lumph node tender and hard and swollen gums that hurt. Have been to the doctor but she said it was fine and would go away. It subsided but this is the third time in has returned in 2 months. I know antibiotics is not easily offered anymore but what is this and how do I get rid of it for good?

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern...

As per your complain and presentation of symptoms the problem seems to be related to wisdom tooth, in case if there is erupting or partially erupted wisdom tooth and the gums around it are getting swollen along with sore throat, earache and tender lymph nodes are all seen in Pericoronitis when due to infection the gum flap partially covering and surrounding the wisdom tooth gets inflamed..

Ear ache occurs as a radiating pain and sore throat and swollen lymph occurs due to inflammation..

You should consult an oral physician and get evaluated..
You will be advised to get an IOPAR [X RAY] done to rule out whether tooth is impacted or will erupt normally..
In case if it is impacted extraction is a permanent treatment..
In case if not impacted removal of gum flap known as Operculectomy is done..
As of now you should take a curse of antibiotics like Amoxicillin and anti-inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen and also do warm saline gargles..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards..
