Hi, I went to doctor today for flu like symptoms, Severe pain in left ear, left eye mucus and irratated Very achy I was diagnosed with eardrum infection, just about to rupture and fluid on my neck and around my face, my lungs are also not doing to well. I was put on 875ml of amoxicllian twice a day and an inhaler 3 times a day. 5 hours later and I now have bloody nose and severe head ache and my eyes hurt and I am even dizzier.... Is this reason enough to call my doctor again or is this part of the infection and I have to just wait it out for the antibiotic to start to work?

Hello,

Probably your suffering from upper respiratory tract infection (pharygitis with ASOM) with lower respiratory tract infection.

Present bleeding from nose may be due to vigerous blowing. Use water vapour inhalation thrice a day. Drink hot water and avoid cool drinks.

You may take tablet lecope-AD twice a day for five days to reduce congestion. If symptoms not improved please consult with your ENT specialist he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
