Suggest Treatment For Earring Stuck Inside Earlobe

I just recently noticed that the back of my earring (which is rubber) is stuck inside of my earlobe. I've cleaned it and tried putting it under warm water to loosen the skin but it still won't come out. I've also tried pushing it through with an earring. I believe it's infected because it's swollen and red. Any suggestions?

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern..

As per your complain it seems that due to infection there is swelling leading to expansion of soft tissue and sticking of the back of earring in the earlobe..
I would suggest you to consult a general physician and he can apply an anaesthetic get over the earlobe and remove the rubber backing..
He can also advise you to apply an antibiotic and steroid ointment over the earlobe for relief from infection and inflammation..
You can also be advised to take a short course of antibiotics and painkillers..
Do cool compresses over the ear lobes..
If possible wear gold or plastic earrings as they are made of inert metal and will not cause allergic reaction and also prevent probablity of infection and inflammation..
