Hello and welcome to Healthcare Magic. Thanks for your query.
I understand that you are worried about the possibility of you having an
eating disorder. Its good that you have been able to realize that your eating habits are not normal.
To help you figure out things better, I have given below some core features seen in eating disorders:
1) Abnormally low weight below the expected weight for height. But remember that in bulimia persons can often have normal weight also.
2) Intense fear of gaining weight or becoming fat.
3) Disturbance in the way one's body weight or shape is experienced or distorted body image.
4) Abnormal weight losing behaviours like starvation, induced vomiting, purging, taking
weight loss medication, water pills, etc.
5) Hormonal or endocrine abnormalities like
irregular periods, electrolyte imbalances, etc.
You seem to be having a fulfilling a few criteria, but to confirm the diagnosis, you need a proper physical and
psychological evaluation. So, I would suggest that you see a
psychiatrist for a detailed evaluation and further help.
Wish you all the best.
