Suggest Treatment For Encephalomalacia Of The Right Temporal And Frontal Lobes?

How serious is encephalomalacia of the right temporal and frontal lobes? Four years ago I had emergency surgery (tbi) due to a fall from a seizure. I was casually told I have this posttraumatic encephalomalacia, however I have developed migraines, memory / recall issues that primarily run my life now. My Dr. has me on anti-seizure medication, other than that I feel as if I am going into his office for sniffles. Just for a second opinion, is this really a non-issue or is there a valid concern between my pain and memory issues?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Well, your memory issues can be due to encephalomalacia. Unfortunately, there isn't any good treatment for that except for symptomatic treatment like anti seizure meds. Rest visit a nearby psychiatrist and maintain good mental health.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Sheikh Zubair, General & Family Physician
