Hi I am 19yrs male. I have enlarge left lingual tonsil, and i notice that i can see my epiglottis now. I am too suffering in my throat for 2 months, i can feel theres something stuck in my throat and phlegmy too. I have no problem when eating and drinking. I have no pain. It just that annoying feeling. I have no time to go to doctor, i havent check yet. Im so afraid what might this be. Please help me. I been searching for cancer symptoms for the past 2 months, and its really freaking me out. Im thinking about it everyday. Please help.
It is very unusual to have throat cancer at your age. Very likely your symptoms are due to PND (postnasal drip) or GERD (gastroesophageal reflux). You may take Loratadine 10 mg every night and omeprazole 20 mg 30 minutes before breakfast.
If you notice no improvement in 2-3 weeks or you notice any worsening you will need to see your doctor.
I hope this answers your query. I remain at your disposal in case further medical assistance is needed.
Regards, Dr. Antoneta Zotaj General and Family Physician
