Suggest Treatment For Enlarged Tonsils

For the past week I have had enlarged tonsils. There s no pain and they are no especially red. Because of the white spots/discharge I feel like it s either an infection or my tonsils fighting something off. There are no tonsil stone, nor is there the bad smell that accompanies them. Since I don t have insurance, a doctor visit is out of the question. Would anti-fungal supplements and eliminating sugars (similar to a candida cleanse) be a reasonable and potentially effective way to deal with this issue?

Hi.
I've gone through your query and I can understand your anxiety.

Your symptoms might be due to follicular tonsillitis, could be of bacterial or viral origin.


I advice you to,
- Drink plenty of hot water & take soft diet.

- Local gargles Hexidine mouth wash or Condy's gargle.

- Take Cap. Ampicillin 250 mg thrice daily

- Tab. Erythromycin 250 mg 4 times/day for 6 days.

- Tab. Paracetamol one three times a day
