I suffered an injury to my penis back in 2013. It was a bending injury to the erect penis while trying to get out of bed in the morning. I initially went to the ER a day later, and it was confirmed that it was not a fracture. I subsiquently made multiple visits to the urologist in the months to follow. They diagnosed it as a sprain, and suggested that I just take hideous amounts of Aleve. I m no doctor, but I believe that it was a facial tear. Initially, it was incredibly painful from the suspensory ligament area, and down about two thirds the length of my shaft. My penile skin in this area is still red and more translucent than it was before. It looks like I burst some capillaries. The injury is only on the top side of my penis, the underside is fine. No pain and it looks normal. The main problem that still plagues me is pain. My penis is very fragile, and I have to be very careful with it. I ve only attempted to have sex once since the injury, about a year ago and it was less than satisfactory. I did manage to achieve penetration, but I soon lost my erection from the pain. I can still masturbate with some success. A lot of lubricant is required, and I have to be very gentle. My penis is still functional, and I can usually get an erecting without a problem. But, if I can t use it then what s the point. I d like to be able to have sex and a relationship again. An acurate diagnosis without an examination may be hard. I would like to finally do something about this and get treatment. I ve tried rest, ice, heat, compression, oils, ointments, supplements, and vitamins. Nothing has helped. I need to find a urologist who can treat this.
