Hi,I am Dr. Alexander H. Sheppe (Psychiatrist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My husband has been having high blood pressure in the 170 to 180 over 112 to 115 range. We went to the Dr 3 weeks ago because he was dizzy and feeling bad. The Dr put him on lisinopril 20 mg and his blood pressure has come down but it has caused him to have erectile dysfunction now which makes him not want to take it. Is there something different that can help his bp and not cause this problem ?
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
You can check your early morning erections through nocturnal penile tumescence. Please get an electro cardiogram done. You can start phosphodiesterase inhibitors like sildenafil to deal with your erectile dysfunction.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
