Hello,

You are suffering from erectile dysfunction. You have not mentioned any past disease or medical condition. Treatment depends on treating the underlying condition that is causing the symptom like diabetes or high blood pressure, cardiovascular, kidney or prostrate disease / problem, mental health disorders or obesity, etc. Developing ED in your 50s may be indicative that you are overweight, physically inactive or have unhealthy habits such as smoking or heavy alcohol consumption.

Stay away from addictions if any and do regular walking and exercises. Stay active. Maintain healthy weight. Erectile dysfunction occurs when the blood flow to the penis is affected by some problem in the nerve function or sexual arousal or blood supply. Get clinically examined by a urologist get USG (to study if there is a blood flow problem), urinalysis, blood tests, physical and psychological examination done.

You will be treated accordingly with medicines (Avanafil or Vardenafil, etc.), treatment of the cause, testosterone replacement, penile implant/pumps if needed, exercise and counselling. Avoid anxiety, depression, low self-esteem and stress. Do not overthink on concerns about sexual failure or poor sexual performance. Erectile dysfunction is almost always treatable with medication, changes to your lifestyle or a combination of these things.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
