This is a common experience of many men.

Condom has to be worn on erect penis. After the penile erection, while wearing condom some time is lost and during that phase, the sexual excitement may fall making the penis placid.

Active participation of your wife in putting on the condom has proved useful in many couples. You may try this.

The other possibility is that after condom, the insertion may be difficult due to lack of lubrication. This also takes away sexual drive making the penis placid. If you use lubricant, you can overcome this problem. Please do not use oil based lubricants like Vaseline, soap, etc. as they are harmful to the condom as well as women's genital organs. Use water based lubricants. Vaginal jellies available in the market are good for this purpose.

Try once whether you can have successful penile insertion without using condom. If you can, you need not worry.
