Suggest Treatment For Erythema Nodosum

Hello I have been told I have erythema nodosum (vascultis) and that it does not need treatment - is that true? My leg is so swollen I can hardly walk on it (lower right leg) and the bulbous, swollen, heat filled "things" on my leg feel like they are going to explode! What can I do to get some relief aside from using Nurofen? thank you
