Suggest Treatment For Excessive Coughing In A Child

My son is 3 yrs old...he was coughing alot....and i gave him 3.5ml of asthavent and 5 ml of piriton....but after some time 1 hr ....i forgot that i already given him piriton and i gave him 5 ml again...is this an overdose??? He is sleeping and im not in peace....please advise ...thx

Hi

No, it is not considered an overdose but is most certainly more than what has to be given. Avoid giving him any further medications for the day or for at least another 12 hours or so. Do not worry too much, he will be fine.
