Suggest Treatment For Excessive Sweating And Headaches
I HAVE RECENTLY BEEN DIAGNOSED W ALDOSTERONISM AFTER RENAL INFARCT AND SUDDEN HTN AND BRACHIOPLEXITIS ALL WITHIN ONE WEEK. I AM AFEMALE, AGE 50,.PRIOR TO THIS ON NO MEDS OTHER THAN RECENT ESTROGEN PATCH DC D ONE MONTH PRIOR TO THIS.COMPLETE W/UP OF RHEUMATOLOGY, NEUROLOGY AND NEPHROLOGY WHEN IN HOSPITAL, CTS MRA MRI DID NOT SHOW ANY ADRENAL ABNORMALITY. SHOULD I SEEK ENDOCRINE OPINION DUE TO EXCESSIVE SWEATING, HEADACHES?
If you were my patient I will suggest to do the thyroid tests (TSH, fT3 and fT4) to see if this symptom has a relationship with your actual thyroid gland function.
At the other side your actual symptoms can be due to menopause. In these cases your estrogen patches will be helpful.
If the thyroid tests will result normal than I suggest to consult physically a local endocrinologist for the right treatment that may be helpful to ease the symptoms of menopause.
Hope this is helpful. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Suggest Treatment For Excessive Sweating And Headaches
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice. Excessive sweating can be a sign of hyperthyroidism.
