Suggest Treatment For Excessive Sweating

It starts to sweat on my forehead when I feel just a little hot. If I move or carry heavy things, I sweat. Sometimes I also sweat in my underarms when I m in an air-conditioned room. It s kinda frustrating. Does it fall under hyperhidrosis or excessive sweating?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Hyperhidrosis refers to increased sweating.

There are different possible causes such as : (1) thyroid disease
(2) nerve related conditions such as diabetes
(3)side effect of medication
(4)alcohol use
(5)gout, other hormonal conditions such as pheochromocytoma

Blood tests for diabetes and the hormonal conditions mentioned would be helpful to figure out the cause of your symptoms

Treatment would depend on the cause found

I hope this helps
