Suggest Treatment For Extra Rib In Neck

hi, my girlfriend has an extra rib in the neck. we just found out yesterday. we have read that people with extra wrib in the neck generally die before reaching 25 years or so........what are the complications of having an extra rib? and what is the life expectancy for such peopla? thank you very much
