General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Based on the history you have shared, it seems to be caused by vertigo for which you need to be evaluated for a neurological examination for cerebellar signs, as well as to look for a sign called nystagmus and to rule out benign positional vertigo.

If no abnormalities are detected, a baselines EKG and metabolic profile with electrolytes and sugar levels may be needed.

Treatment is based on the cause and this dizziness on getting up shouldn't be ignored. Rarely due to postural blood pressure drop the same symptoms may arise. Wishing you a speedy recovery. Regards
