Suggest Treatment For Extreme Dryness In The Mouth

almost every morning, I have varying degrees of dryness in my mouth, as if I held my mouth during sleep and is extremely dry, to the point of needing to gargle or brush teeth AND drink water. Also, have along with this some type of white-ish film/mucuous on lips, which requires scrubbing off.

Hi Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern.
Dry mouth can be due to many reasons
Most common is mouth breathing. Mouth breathing when done at night causes dryness of oral mucosa & dropping of saliva through mouth. Which causes whitish film/mucous on lips.Try to sleep with closed mouth. If you have difficulty in breathing through nose, consult a ENT specialist.
If you have this habit & can breathe through nose, Visit a oral physician he would help you in discontinuing of this habit
Other reasons of dry mouth include Dehydration, Due to some medicines & certain diseases like Diabetes,Alzheimer disease elderly age,etc

Hope this information helps..
Don't worry you would be fine
Thanks and regards.
