Suggest Treatment For Extreme Mood Swings And Bad Temper In A Teenager

Hello, thanks for taking the time to help out. Recently, I ve noticed my 16 year old brother having issues. Mentally challenged issues. I tried to teach him how to put in contacts, and noticed how frustrated and how easily he gave up. He s sensitive, so if you get mad at him he will cry. He has very good social skills. Back when he was about thirteen or so he was diagnosed with an abandonment disorder. I do not think this is the only issue and am very concerned for him. He has anger issues, and gets easily frustrated. My father is bipolar, and has miss-personality disorder along with other mental illnesses. Could any of this be hereditary? Any ideas for what it is? I know it s difficult to diagnose someone without knowing things, but if you could give me a couple ideas, it would be much appreciated. Thank you.

Hello thank you for writing us here.
Well, you really need to be gentle to the child. He's growing and needs care.
Let him do whatever he want and explore the world himself.
Try teaching him new things like cooking or playing some game by making his interest on it.
You need to teach him like a little child and don't scold him. Let him do mistakes, let him learn from them. If he's angry, show your affection to him and tell him he shouldn't be rude with others.
You too need lots of patience for this. Don't stress him too much and help him with his daily tasks like studying or learning something now. He'll slowly start getting better when you'll be caring and show lots of love to him.
