Suggest Treatment For Fainting Spell While Treating Kidney Stones
Hi, my wife is currently suffering from kidney stones. She has been in dis comfort and went to a&e today.. She was discharged this afternoon. Tonight she went to bed, taking the following- diclofenac 50mg, co codamol 500mg and nitrofurantion 50mg. She got up to pass urine around half an hour ago and fainted, but came- to quite quickly. She is in bed now, talking but seems very tired and drowsy. Just wanted to know if this is normal and if not what action should be taken? Many thanks
Welcome at HCM i have gone through your query and being your doctor I completely understand your health concerns. Based upon the history you have provided I don't think that kidney stone medications has got anything to do with fainting spell. All she need is reassurance and should stay calm. Is she sweating? Is she having palpitations? Is there any other medication she is taking like antihypertensive?? Is she diabetic!?? If not then no need to bother about it. Hope your query is adequately answered. Regards Dr saad sultan
