I am a 55 year old female diagnosed with a fatty liver. I have shortness of breath, pain under my back ribs on the right side, elevated blood pressure, and exhaustion. I was told the blood pressure was from the pain and that fatty liver would not cause pain. They want to do a Bone density test to see if I have another problem causing the pain. The gall bladder checked out fine-was considered slow years ago-but this CT showed no stones and my kidneys showed no stones. I believe the fatty liver is pressing on other organs causing them to expand against my rib cage causing the pain. Could this be the cause? Bone density is not really a problem or I don t consider it to be. I am healthy otherwise.
