Psychiatrist 's  Response
Hello
Thanks for asking from HCM

You got injury with a knife in 2011 and later developed severe anxiety. The severe anxiety, depression, panic attacks, inferiority complex, sleeplessness etc symptoms are most likely due to Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. PTSD commonly develop after serious life threatening trauma or accident. Severe anxiety, autonomic arousal, insomnia, nightmares about accident are common symptoms of PTSD. Zopiclone is a drug of Z-drugs group. The drug is a hypnotic drug but its antianxeity action is limited. Other drugs like Benzodiazepines can be used. If anxiety is severe and persisting and causing serious harm to social and occupation life then consult a Psychiatrist. Medicines like SSRIs can prove useful.

Thanks, hope this helps you.
