Hello thanks for asking from HCM for your health related queries
I can understand your concern.
Febrile seizures are seizures occurring during spikes of fever. A lot of children develop mild to moderate seizures during fever and in most of children after 5 years of age seizures reduce in severity. But in some individuals these seizures complicate into generalised seizures. As his seizures are recurring so I'd advise you to consult a doctor for proper treatment. To prevent fever cold sponging, anti fever medicines like Paracetamol can help. Paracetamol should be used repeatedly depending upon the his age and weight. Drugs like Phenobarbitone can help to prevent the seizures. Phenobarbitone prevents seizures effectively during fever. Please visit a doctor for detailed prescription. Thanks, I hope this helps you.
Take care
