Suggest Treatment For Fever And Body Pain

i was in Maine recently and got flu like symptoms. I ve been home a few days and the fever and body aches are back running a fever of 100.5. i ate a lot of lobster and haddock while in Maine. Any chance of too much iodine or mercury? I also hiked alot my wife has checked me for ticks and did not find anything. Any ideas on the lobster and fish?

Hi,

Based on the history you have shared, you need to get your blood workup done as fever is being documented and its a sign of underline infectious process. I would recommend you get Complete blood count and C-reactive protein done along with blood cultures.

The possibility of infection through fish is common bus less likely with lobster but still the blood tests will help a lot. Till then take anti-pyretics like acetaminophen and keep good hydration.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
