Suggest Treatment For Fever And Chills In A Child

Hello, my child is 4 years and he is having fever chills, could you pls advise what can be done, i am gave him meftal p syrup twice, but his fever has not come down completely. Its been 7 - 8 hrs now, we are in a different place now, so it might take some time to visit a doctor. pls help.

I can understand your concern.
Fever with chills in 4 year old child should be evaluated as soon as possible.
This kind of fever is commonly seen with dengue, malaria, pneumonia, Urinary tract infection (UTI) etc.
His fever is now subsided by meftal p syrup.
So better to talk him to doctor as soon as possible. Get done clinical examination, blood reports and urine reports for the diagnosis of cause.
Don't wait. Meanwhile you can do ice water sponging on head and body parts for fever.
