Suggest Treatment For Fever And Cough Along With Sinus Infection

I have been sick for the past 6 days, no fever. I have a horrible cough, lost my voice, running nose and yucky green snot. I am exhausted and keep sucking on cough drops, drinking hot lemon and honey tea, and taking day and night over the counter Nyquil. Is it time a see a doctor or am I near the end of being sick? Is it viral or a virus? I have had sinus infectious most my life and don t have the head pounding congestion that I normally have with a sinus infection.

Hello welcome to the health care magic

You are having upper respiratory tract infection and it could be sinusitis or bronchitis as well

Your work up done as follow...
_Auscultation
_PNS x ray
_nose and posterior pharynx examination
_CBC with AEC

For congestion relief decongestant like levocetrizine 5 mg OD can be prescribed

You need to take antibiotic course as well because no improvement after 6 days

For cough expectoration Ambroxol cough syrup can be prescribed

Steam inhalation done three times a day

Vitamin C lozenges useful

Take one tsp turmeric powder with milk daily

Consult physician for examination and discuss your case
