Suggest Treatment For Fever And Cough While Having Viral Infection

my child of 7 suffered some viral infection may be in school, had fever ranging up to 102 degree for 3-4 days, there after slight fever and cough for 3-4 days and this evening suffering from 102 degree fever there is loosening cough also. I would appreciate if you let me know the probable reasons fever reappearing this evening, and any other significant factors need to look into.

Hi, Your child seems to have suffered a viral attack which partially abated and then recurred. Since your child is young, I would advise you to take the child to her doctor if he/she becomes breathless, drowsy, or wheezes. In any case you should call up the doctor/support staff so that they are aware of the problem. Meanwhile you can sponge the child and give him/her a cough syrup with Bromhexine and ammonium chloride in it and Tylenol for fever. Regards
