Suggest Treatment For Fever And Lower Back Pain In A Child
Hi, my 4 year old grandson was in the ER today with a fever and szid thzt his stomzch and back was hurting, they said that it might be early onset of his apendix. Sent him home with tynol and motrin. He is still running fever and is complaing that his lower bach is hurting, should we take him back to the hospital and have them check him out again.
Hi I appreciate your concern for your beloved grandson. Incomplete data like any associated symptoms like burning urination, abdominal pain, diarrhea or constipatio, or cough or cold, etc.
After having gone through the symptoms described in your query, it seems to me that your grand son is most probably having some sort of urinary tract infection or an early presentation of inflamed appendix.
I would therefore advise you to take him to the doctor for proper clinical examination and relevant lab tests like CBC, Urine examination, an abdominal ultrasound scan, to ascertain the diagnosis.
Hope I could answer your query.
