Suggest Treatment For Fever And Swollen Lymph Node In The Neck

I am wanting to find out if Gabapentin could be the cause of my symptoms. I began taking 300mg twice daily on 10/29. Less than 24 hours later I developed a fever and the nodes in my jaw and neck were swollen and very tender. Although, the swelling of my nodes has gone down, my temperature continues to hold around 101. I ve taken Tylenol to help, but frankly, I still feel lousy. I have several other symptoms that I m beginning to think might also be related.

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

It is not likely that the gabapentin is related to your symptoms, it is more likely coincidental.

Gabapentin is not known to have these effects.

The symptoms are in keeping with an acute infection. Fever, enlarged lymph nodes, usually indicate infection is present.
You can monitor to see if any other symptoms occur that may point to the type of infection, this would then affect treatment.

I hope this helps
