Suggest Treatment For Fever And Swollen Lymph Nodes In Children

Hi. My daughter has had fever for 8 days of 103.8, 104.5 and I took her to doctor 3 times and they keep saying its viral. Her lymph nodes are swollen. I do t know what else to do because I think she has had too much ibuprofen and tylonol. She is 10. Pls advise what else to do about fever.

No I don't think its a viral fever as Viral fever doesn't last for more than 4-5 days . So definitely it should be a bacterial infection and for bacterial infection.

You need to ask your doctor to test her for bacterial infections . These tests are :

Complete Hemogram , IgM Typhi Dot , Throat swab Culture Sensitivity, Mono test.

Also its better to get her started on Antibiotics else fever will not come down . Ask your doctor for antibiotic prescription.
