Suggest Treatment For Fever And Vomiting In Child

My nine year old son has had a fever since Tuesday afternoon. I have given him alternating doses of Tylenol and Midol. He has thrown up, but not since this morning. His temperature just spiked at 103.5. I gave him some Tylenol and put a cold pack on him and it dropped to 103. Does he need to go to the hospital?

Hello
Since your child had fever for 2-3 days and tylenol working very well .
Since there is no vomiting , so need not to worry .
Due to flu patient develop such type of symptoms , so tylenol ( paracetmol ) is enough with cold sponging .
Wait for another 3-4 days . If only mild degree fever present and gradually decreasing ,need not to worry .
No need of any consultation .
If fever is not under control then consult a child specialist and get his opinion.
Good luck.
