Suggest Treatment For Fever And Vomiting

My daughter is 2yrs old. She got the flu shot 2/13/15 since then she has has projectile vomiting 3 times total , she s had runny, fluffy,pale green, light yellow beige in color stool Occurring frequently and a lot of foul smelling flatulence. Her perineal area is inflamed. She s not been eating as well for 1wk, but since flu shot it s decreased more. shes not been as active since the shots and has been whining a lot. She had a fever of 100.9 and 101.5 the day after the vaccine. I m unsure if it s a virus, reaction to flu vaccine, or some type of malabsorption of fat in GI system. What do you think is wrong and is there immediate need for a doctor or can some OTC remedies Work

Dear thanks for the question.

It could be malabsorption as well as reaction to flu vaccine or even both. Projectile vomiting suggest brain involvement (meningitis). But look again if it is really projectile. If it is , immediately rush to the doctor, it is very dangerous.

Other symptoms indicate malabsorption. Again condition looks serious. Although flu vaccine are generally safe but nothing can be ruled out.

You need to visit a doctor immediately, don't try over the counter medicines.
