Suggest Treatment For Fever, Blocked Nose And Sore Throat
My son has 100 degrees centigrade fever .. Other symptoms are blocked nose and sore throat
He is 12 years old.. 45 kgs
Have started him on Combiflam thrice a day .. Zyrcold syrup 5 ml .. 3 times s day
And Azythromycin 250 mg twice s day
It's just been a day.. Do you think this is the right treatment

Very frankly speaking there is no need to give azithromycin because it is a viral infection and antibiotics have no role in it.
Ideally treatment involves...
Steam inhalation 2-3 times a day
Warm saline gargles 2-3 times a day
Drinking hot liquids and avoiding cold drinks
Putting saline nasal drops like nasoclear 2-3 times a day for blocked nose
COMBIFLAM or paracetamol for fever or body ache.
He should be all right in next 3 -4 days.
