General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms of your husband seem to be related to a viral infection. I suggest using anti inflammatory medications such as Acetaminophen to relieve the symptoms. I also suggest to rest, drink liquids and eat a healthy diet. The symptoms will probably relieve in a few days.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
