Suggest Treatment For Fever, Headache And Fatigue For My Husband

For 9 days my husband has had a very bad headache, a fever that comes and goes multiple times per day, usually at 101 degrees, definite fatigue, and is generally feeling lousy. He went to urgent care on day 5. The doctor thought it was probably a virus, but not a sinus infection. She recommended neti pot or Flonase, and gave him a prescription for Naproxen. He s also been doing Airborne, ZiCam, nettle the with manuka honey, and lots of liquids. Now on day 9, I think I have now come down with what he has. We are supposed to go on vacation with all of our grown children and grandchildren and really hate to miss it. Is there anything you recommend?

Hello,

The symptoms seem to be related to an upper respiratory tract infection. I suggest to continue using Naproxen 500 mg three times a day to relieve the symptoms. Based on the fact that the symptoms continue for nine days,the cause can be a bacterial infection.

I recommend ti use a cycle of prescribed antibiotics such as Augmentin twice a day for a week.
