Suggest Treatment For Fever, Nausea, Vomiting And Dizziness

A couple of my co-workers are out with the flu. Yesterday evening I started feeling extremely nauseous and dizzy. I threw up then went to sleep. I haven t thrown up since last night. However, the dizziness is progressively getting worse and I have almost passed out twice now. The nausea is still there but not as bad as the dizziness. I have a slight fever of 100.1. Do you think its just the flu?

Welcome to HCM and thanks for asking your question. I can understand your concern.

I want to tell you that most probably you are suffering from simple flu and need not to worry much about it. I would advise you to work up few things like blood CBC, Creatinine, blood sugar and chest x-ray.

If i were your treating doctor, i would have suggested you to take anti histaminic drug and anti inflammatory drug. No antibiotics are required at this stage as per my opinion. Take few precautions like have a steam bath, avoid going in dusty and in public places, take a break from your job...If you will have symptoms like difficulty in breathing, high grade fever, palpitation, then you should immediately contact a physician for further work up.

Mostly you will be relieved from flu within a week or so, so don't take tension. Hope this answers your question and let me know directly if you have any further relevant queries, i will be happy to guide you in right direction.
