Suggest Treatment For Fever, Runny Nose And Chest Congestion In Infants
My 13 month old son. Has a runny nose and mucus clogged in his chest with a cough. He visited his doctor yesterday and we recieved meds. However, today his fever is 102 and has been all day. What should I do? I called his doctor, but he hasn t returned me call.
If the fever persists for more than three days, blood tests should be taken to identify the cause of fever. Since the name of the medications has not been mentioned, it is difficult to give suggestions. If the prescribed medication contains drug for fever, continue it every 6 hours for one more day. Cold sponging of the body should be done to reduce the temperature. You can measure temperature at home and visit hospital if fever more than 101 persists for a day.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
