Suggest Treatment For Fever, Sore Throat, Cough And Fatigue

Hi I had a throat/ENT infection about 10 days ago. Had fever, sore throat, slight coughing and fatigue, when the infection started. Eventually, most symptoms subsided, except coughing, which increased by the 5th day, and is still there (though quite reduced). My throat still feel very itchy and dry, especially in mornings/ night, have slight coughing, and there specifically is itching on one side (left) of my throat. I have an active routine, and I could just take a day off from work during this infection. I don t feel like eating much.

Hi,

*It seems you had allergy with viral infection which caused the symptms. In both the cases cough lingers for a longer time.

It does not need medication except probably over the counter Benadryl cough syrup/finding possible thing(being in routine use) causing allergy & stop using it/get blood tested for WBC counts -get treatment for probable eosinophyllia. Have to consult your family doctor.

*lack of taste may be side effect of infection,weakness caused,medicines being lethathal to our friend bacteria the lactobacillus. Replacement of such bacilli by over the counter products shall help.
